Allison & Malachi

Some love stories hold a special place in my heart, and Allison and Malachi’s will always be one of them. Allison was a classmate of mine in grad school, and she’s the reason this whole journey began. When she got engaged, she couldn’t find a live wedding painter in the area and, out of pure frustration, said, “Lauren, can you just do it?!” At first, I hesitated, but curiosity (and her faith in me) pushed me to try. I went home that night and painted her venue using a random photo I found online. To my surprise, it turned out beautifully. That simple “why not?” moment became the spark that started everything.

By the time Allison and Malachi’s wedding day arrived, I had already painted eight live weddings in preparation. Their ceremony and reception were stunning, filled with warmth, joy, and the kind of love that radiates through every detail. I’ll always be grateful to Allison for believing in me before I even believed in myself, and for leading me to the career I love so deeply today.
